Flexible and Bespoke
Sessions That Fit Around You
Our weekly/half termly services range from 1 to 1 music production or coding/computing sessions through to a bespoke group of 12 children engaged with a Minecraft for Education session using our MacBooks. Sessions are able to be booked 'on site' by coming to you or at our Exminster HQ classroom or recording studio venues.
Let's Talk
A Meeting, a Call, or a Visit
We hugely welcome the opportunity to either come in for a meeting or arrange a video call to explore the exact needs that you require and how best we can serve you and the children. Below are a few examples of options that have proved to be hugely successful; great as standalone/half termly sessions and rich in cross curricular learning.
Music
Sessions can take place either on school premises or on location at our own 'Thrivetech Audio' recording studio. They can be tailored to 1-1 or group settings.
The opportunity to learn GarageBand/Logic software and produce, edit and record a bespoke song. Rich in cross curricular learning such as creative lyric writing & 'budgeting' for a 'commercial release' campaign.
Students get a hands-on opportunity to learn a new instrument alongside its accompanying musical notation. This foundational skill is then applied directly to a real-world studio environment, where students record their instrument into GarageBand to subsequently mix and master their own track. Some children even take this a step further by writing and recording their own lyrics, creating a full song that can be layered and developed with additional instrumentation and digital programming.
Students have the exciting opportunity to sing a song of their choice or to develop and perform their own original lyrics in a professional studio setting. This serves as a hugely successful platform for collaborative interaction, offering a shared creative experience where children can team up, harmonise, and record alongside peers who sing or play instruments.
Computing
Sessions often take place in the school but can very easily be accommodated in the 'Westbank Centre' in Exminster – the home of our Home-Ed Hub.
Tailored sessions to tie in with school based learning/topics. Children can experience anything from a one off session to an interactive group of 12 with peers in blocks ranging from a one-off through to a term. These sessions can take place in our classroom or in your school/venue using our MacBooks.
From basic visual 'Sketch Nation Create' and block-based foundational platforms to more advanced Unity and Godot platforms, the children will blow the ceiling off their expectations of what is achievable. Seeing children's faces when they see their game translate onto an Xbox console after mapping controls etc is absolutely priceless!
Engaging with software that can be applied to jobs in the future – sessions see the children engaging with Canva and Adobe based platforms to deepen their understanding of design alongside practical skills within the software. Often a great opportunity to engage in dialogue around AI and the benefits of having a 'co-pilot' alongside the design process.
Including use of green screen and potential development into background music and voiceover, the children engage in a development from 2D stick animation to the potential of animating a character they have designed and printed using our 3D printer and 'Tinkercad' software.
